Mission

The Downtowners, Inc. is an ecumenical campus ministry serving over 25,000 students attending the six downtown colleges and universities: Capital University Law School, The Columbus College of Art and Design, Columbus State Community College, DeVry Institute of Technology and Mount Carmel College of Nursing.

Our Mission is to be a caring presence to the students and faculty in downtown colleges and universities. This is accomplished through service and programs that enhance the quality of life and answer the call of the Gospel to make life sacred for all people.
Leadership
Directional leadership for the Downtowners is provided by a Board of Directors, comprised of faculty, staff and administratiors of the Columbus colleges and universities as well as members of the downtown churches and the commuity at large.

Day to day operations are led by the Executive Director and Campus Minister, Dr. Ellen O'Shaughnessy, who is professionnally trained in counseling and ministry, and who possesses substantial expertise in each of these areas.
We are grateful to those who continue to assist us in bringing the Downtowners' ministry to the Students.
