The Downtowners carries out its mission of campus ministry through professionally-led counseling, education and community outreach programs. These include: Faith Mission, Lawrence Haven Food Pantry, Holy Family Soup Kitchen, Salesian Boys and Girls Club, and the YWCA Family Shelter.

The Downtowners is actively involved with many community outreach organizations in the downtown area. Students have the opportunity to learn and grow through ongoing volunteer work, a truly meaningful experience for both the students and the people they serve.

Off-Campus Retreats
Woods
Students learn from each other during off-campus retreats in the surrounding countryside.
Barn
Worship, rest and reflection are the three areas of focus during these two-day periods of interfaith bonding. Each retreat is led by experienced counselors from The Downtowners.

The special Student-in the-City program engages students in conversation with the homeless and residential poor. This program involves dialogue between a panel of residential and street poor and students from The Downtowners.

Seminars in Spirituality include topics in art, literature, psychology, scripture and religious practice for students of all faiths and backgrounds.
